moon or the sun by means of his mouth. Such a seizure is believed to be the
cause of the eclipse of the moon or the sun.
In this manner, Devas and humans proclaimed his glory and offered auspicious
words of prayer. Then Sumedha, who had thus been offered resounding words
of encouragement, complete with good wishes and admiration, entered a great
forest in the Himālayas, being determined to practise and fulfil the ten
perfections.
