mountains became like the empty space and the open sky, in every way. 
The same phenomenon has happened today, so you will certainly become 
a Buddha. 
Noble Sumedha, at the moment that Bodhisattas received the prediction 
there ocurred no deaths or conceptions of beings. The same phenomenon 
has happened today, so you will certainly become a Buddha. 

Devas and Brahmas, who had arrived from the 10,000 world-element, spoke 
words of praise and encouragement to Sumedha thus: “Noble Sumedha, strive on 
earnestly with constant diligence! There should be no retreat. Proceed with your 
endeavour! We know without any doubt that you will certainly become a 
Buddha.”
